1 Yr Old Black Standard Poodle in Las Vegas, NV

Sophie is 1 year old as of June 1. She is the BLACK one in the photos attached. Im looking to place her with a family with other dogs, or kids, or just a nice couple that can give her lots of 1-on-1 cuddle time. She is not a very active puppy, so if you are hoping for an agility champion.....forget it. She is very mellow, likes to play in small spurts only and if you throw a ball she looks at you like your nuts. She does well with all of my other pets, as you can see in the photos. She loves car rides, and lap time. Other than that, she will not demand alot of activity. She doesn't like the pool, watersports or being active in the heat. She likes to go on trail walks but once shes too hot, plan on carrying her (65+ lbs) back to the car. She is healthy but just too mellow for the things we like to go do. As a result, she is left behind almost daily and it breaks my heart. Sophie is housebroken, sweet, and mild mannered. She has never growled, snarled or shown her teeth at anyone, even when shes getting groomed. II say this with one exception when a drunk man was screaming at me for no reason and she backed him up fearlessly.. YOU GO GIRL! She will sound the 'stranger danger' bark but otherwise isn't a big barker. Sophie will do well in any warm environment with love. Older dogs are are more her speed, but playful puppies would encourage her to play more. She will thrive around kids, but she is a large heavy puppy and may accidentally knock a small toddler down if they are running or trying to play. Regardless of how laid-back she is, I can 100% assure you that once she has bonded she will defend you to the death if you or your children are in harms way. She has come to my rescue before and she absolutely amazed me. Sophie is UTD on shots, microchipped with GPS. She is registered with papers but is spayed. With a little more maturity and your version of training she will be your PERFECT companion.
